- Download Nero 7 demo and install on your computer, you may require to reboot your computer after installation.
- Insert a blank CD-R (CD writable) or CD-RW (CD re-writable) disc into your disc drive.
- Open your 'Start' menu at bottom left-hand side of screen.
- Select 'Programs' and then into the 'Nero 7 Demo' menu - select 'Data' then 'Nero Burning Rom'.
- When the program opens make sure that CD-ROM ISO is selected on the top left hand side, as you want to create a CD-ROM.
- Select 'No Multisession' under the Multisession menu.
- Now select 'New' at the bottom of the screen.
- You should now have 4 window panels - The right panel is where you are going to select the files for burning to CD. All of these windows can be resized by hovering over the border until 2 arrows appear. (drag to left or right-hand side of screen).
This is also helpful when you have a large file structure and folders are hidden from view.
- The 3rd panel (second from right) will allow you to navigate to your files. Open up your folders to display the files you want to copy to CD. The contents should now be displayed inside the 4th panel (far right).
- Select all of the files in the 4th panel, either draw a box round them or select them by clicking in a blank space on the panel and selecting Ctrl + A
- It should now look like this:
- Drag all of the files over to panel 2.
- Click on the 'Burn' icon at the top of the window.
- Under the 'Action' heading select 'Write' and 'Finalise' (boxes should be ticked).
- Click on the 'Burn' button at the foot of the screen.
- Burning will now start and your CD will be created shortly.
- If you are using a Rewritable disc and it is not empty you will be prompted with a message to tell you it's not empty. Click on Yes to format the disc, this will do a quick erase (this is ok if you have not copied a large amount of information to disc). Otherwise, a full-erase completely wipes a disc and takes much longer to format the disc.
