- Type in the website you wish to bookmark - e.g. www.canmoremedia.com
- If you want to follow this tutorial you'll need another Explorer window open. Go up to the top of your browser -
'File' menu - 'New' and select 'Window'.
- You can flip back and forwards by first holding down your Alt key and then pressing the TAB key on your keyboard (2 horizontal arrows) on left-side of keyboard.
Each time you press the TAB key and release the TAB key it will open the program icon you select. Quite a neat shortcut! This will allow you to read these instructions and carry
out the task.
- On your browser window open 'Favorites'.
- Select 'Add to Favorites'.
- The name of the webpage you are adding is highlighted - you may want to make this description smaller!
- If you want to save it into an existing folder then select the folder from the 'Create In' menu.
- You may also create a new folder to place it - Select 'New Folder' then give the folder a name when prompted.
- By clicking on the 'Create In' button you can change the view of this window from full to minimal or vice versa.
- Ok, now save by clicking on 'OK', you will automatically be taken back to the main browser window.
- Go back into 'Favorites' on the browser and locate the bookmark you've just created.
- Hold your mouse, without clicking, over the bookmark name.
- Now, holding your left-mouse button down drag the bookmark name onto your Links bar and release.
- If your Links bar is not displaying go into the 'View' menu and select 'Toolbars' then 'Links' - A tick mark means it is visible.
- Congratulations! You now are now 1 click from your favourite website. Try adding another!
- TIPS: Keep your title names short so you have space for more links!
